40 Years of EWS – a film about partnership and the future
To mark its 40th anniversary, EWS looks back on its own history in a new corporate video – and on the people who have shaped the company. The film tells the story from the beginnings in the old railway guard’s house in Handewitt, where company founder Kai Lippert laid the foundation in 1985 with his planning office for solar and wind power systems, to today’s modern wholesale business, which collaborates with specialist trades and leading manufacturers across Europe.
The original footage from 2010 reflects the philosophy that continues to define EWS today: close cooperation with installation companies, a strong commitment to quality and service, and enthusiasm for solar energy. Combined with the newly filmed sequences, it creates a vivid portait of transformation – from the pioneering days of solar energy to today’s strong community of specialist partners, manufacturers, and dedicated employees. Many of these partnerships have lasted for decades – built on trust, shared values, and the goal of driving the energy transition forward in practice.
At the same time, the video marks the beginning of a new chapter: company founder Kai Lippert is handing over the management of the company to his son Jan Paul Dahm, who will shape the future of EWS together with an expanded management team.
The result is a compelling portrait of 40 years of commitment, team spirit, and innovative strength – and a glimpse of what endures: a shared passion for the energy transition.
