24.03.2026 - Fronius Reserva Pro: Efficient, modular energy storage “Made in Europe”

 
 

With the new Reserva Pro, our partner Fronius expands its storage portfolio with a powerful, modular solution for commercial applications. As a “Made in Europe” battery, the Reserva Pro is particularly suitable for commercial businesses, agricultural applications and larger residential buildings with increased energy demand.

Modular architecture & flexible scalability

The Fronius Reserva Pro is based on a modular storage architecture using durable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology. This ensures high cycle stability, thermal robustness and a long service life – even under demanding continuous operation.

The high-voltage system is DC-coupled, enabling highly efficient energy transfer. Thanks to its modular design, storage capacity can be flexibly adapted and expanded as needed. A single system provides up to 32 kWh, while up to 128 kWh can be achieved by operating up to four battery towers in parallel.

The system architecture makes the Reserva Pro suitable for both new installations and retrofitting existing PV systems. Its flexibility is particularly beneficial in commercial environments with varying load profiles and demand patterns.

High safety and reliable operation

The Fronius Reserva Pro features an advanced safety and operating concept with integrated protection mechanisms at cell, module and system level. These include, among others, protection against over- and undervoltage, temperature monitoring, and an intelligent battery management system (BMS) that continuously controls and monitors charging and discharging processes. In combination with ongoing monitoring of all relevant operating parameters, this ensures high operational safety and stable performance over the entire service life.

Easy installation and well-thought-out design

Practical installation was a key focus: the system features an optimized design with top-side cabling, simplifying handling and reducing installation time on site.

Despite its high capacity, the system remains compact: with a maximum height of 1.60 m, the storage system is relatively low in height but slightly wider. For optimal operation, sufficient ventilation (approx. 30 cm clearance on all sides) should be ensured during installation.

Commissioning is carried out via the Fronius setup tool: after installation and connection, the system is automatically detected and can be configured step by step. System parameters can be easily adjusted, and remote access as well as updates are available via the Fronius platform – a clear advantage for service and maintenance.

Application range and system integration

Compared to the Fronius Reserva, which is primarily designed for residential applications and smaller load profiles, the Reserva Pro is intended for applications with higher energy demand and more complex system requirements. Key factors include its greater scalability of up to 128 kWh and its design for continuous charge and discharge cycles.

The Reserva Pro is fully integrated into the Fronius ecosystem and compatible with Fronius GEN24 Plus and Verto Plus hybrid inverters. In combination with the Fronius Verto Plus, efficient DC coupling enables charge and discharge power of up to 28.3 kW – ideal for applications with high power demands and large consumers.
