Starting in November 2025, EWS will celebrate its 40th anniversary – a special milestone in the history of the North German photovoltaic pioneer. Since 1985, we have stood for partnership, reliability, and innovation, and we warmly invite all our partners to celebrate this anniversary with us.
With a 12-month anniversary campaign full of special promotions, offers, and insights, EWS is saying thank you – to everyone who has helped shape the energy transition from the very beginning.
Pioneering work with a future
What began in 1985 in a former railway guard's house as a planning office for solar and wind power systems has grown into an internationally recognized wholesale company. Together with a steadily growing network of installation companies and manufacturers, EWS has brought solar energy out of its niche into everyday life – and continues to actively shape the progress of the energy transition today.
A new anniversary video bridges past and present, showing how the company and the industry have developed together – and honoring all those who have been part of this journey.

“EWS would not be what it is today without the passion of our employees and the close cooperation with our installation partners and suppliers,” explains company founder Kai Lippert. “40 years of partnership, growth, and success – we can truly be proud of that.”
Anniversary year with monthly special offers
As part of our anniversary year, EWS will be offering special monthly promotions and offers in cooperation with our suppliers – as a token of appreciation for our installation partners and everyone who has been part of our shared success over the years. All anniversary activities will be announced in good time on the 40 Years of EWS page and via email.
To kick things off, EWS and Huawei are presenting an exclusive offer for installation companies: Secure one of ten showroom packages worth €4,000 each and take your customer consultations to the next level!
The rewards will go to the first ten installation companies that place Huawei component orders with a net order value of at least €20,000 in November 2025. Further details and the conditions of participation are available on the November 2025 campaign page.
A smooth transition of leadership
After four decades of company history, founder Kai Lippert is handing over full management responsibilities to his son Jan Paul Dahm, who has been co-leading EWS alongside him for several years. “40 years of EWS show how much we can achieve together,” says Jan Paul Dahm. “We want to continue shaping the energy transition actively and sustainably – together with our partners.” His father adds: “Our long-standing partnerships and the trust placed in us are the foundation of our continued success – and for that, I am deeply grateful.”
As EWS enters its anniversary year, the company is also beginning a new chapter – with fresh energy, clear values, and strong partnerships. Stay tuned for a year full of special campaigns, inspiring stories, and shared success!
