The new PV-optimized SMA eCharger makes the transition to EV installations effortless. From hassle-free installation to user-friendly management, it is designed for convenience and longevity. Thanks to intelligent charging modes and automatic phase switching, the full charging power of the sun can be unlocked and used efficiently.
The intelligent charging modes adapt to the user's needs thanks to forecast-based operation. The system offers the following options: Charging with solar energy surplus, fast charging or targeted charging.
Thanks to automatic phase switching, it also enables charging with low solar power for higher self-consumption and thus more cost-effective mobility and faster amortization of the solar system.
The boost function allows vehicles to be charged up to twice as fast as with conventional wallboxes while making optimum use of grid and solar power. In addition, up to three SMA eChargers can be operated in one energy system with the Sunny Home Manager 2.0.
Both installers and users benefit from maximum safety, reliability and utmost convenience. Planning with Sunny Design is quick and installation is flexible. Operation is safe and reliable thanks to RFID authentication, SMA Smart Connected, integrated shutter in the charging socket and blackout protection. At the same time, the SMA eCharger is always up to date thanks to over-the-air updates.
